Lyme is a virgin and very charming coastal town located in between towering limestone cliffs, which also offers an extensive line of beach and is perfect for a summer vacation in the family. However, I must say that Lyme is not too commercialized tourism, and manages to maintain some semblance of good taste and discrete, although this seems elitist in any way. Although during the summer weekends, Lyme can become a busy destination. Most of the city remains relatively peaceful and verse is far from crowded.
Beside the places Cobb Undercliff and Monmouth Beach are places where people have come to find fossils and it was here that with the help of these prehistoric geology found some of the first dinosaurs in England.
Beaches:
The beaches of Lyme Regis, is characterized by beaches of fine sand to large stones and rocks, where it is usually fairly easy to identify the fossils of giant ammonites literally being pulled into the beach. Tourists who are looking for points of interest around the coast of Lyme Regis, liked to visit the gardens facing the sea or the Marine Aquarium, which reside in Cobb. The city is also known for its roads and coastal paths, which are perfect for walkers and offer magnificent views across Lyme Bay and beyond. On the outskirts of the city, the Bodega Bay Axminster Lyme is a good place to visit whether you want a bit of cider.
The city also has museums like the Philpot Museum, which is an attraction not to miss and is in the heart of the city. Of course is the main attraction of tourists as regards museums and talk about Dinosaur land Fossil Museum, which is full of fossils and also provides information on the collections of fossils, which features a stunning skeleton of a dolphin or reptiles marine living in these waters for over 200 million years.
